Just an Update

Well I thought since this is our new blog I would fill everyone in and let you know how we are doing. Everything is going pretty smoothly now. We cant believe we have been here for 9 months already! We will be back stateside before we know it. We both miss so much about the states, mostly the shopping and having family relativly close by. Grocery shopping at the commissary here is like feast or famine. We typically try to go on a friday or saturday night as close to closing as possible. That way we can miss most of the crowds. Chad always has me manuever the cart because he says I am more agressive then him. HAHA! Sundays are super boring since it's like a ghost town over here. Nothing is open expect for base, and really you can only see the same things over and over so many times. I got a job which is GREAT! Its so nice being able to get out of the house every now and again and help contribute to our family. I am currently working part time at the Dry Cleaners on base until something better comes along. The extra money will be great, especially for traveling. Although it is hard leaving the puppies behind. We miss everyone and cant wait to see you all soon. We love you VERY much! The city of LOVE <3

Well this past weekend Chad and I celebrated our one year anniversary in Paris. It was everything I expected and more. It was the coolest city I have ever been to. We started the day at 2 in morning and we caught our bus. We went thru a tour on base so we traveled w/ about 30 other people. We arrived in Paris around 10 am. The second I saw the Eiffel Tower my heart melted. It is something I have always dreamed of seeing and to actually be there was surreal. We were also there on a "strange" day. We had another girl take a picture of us under the eiffel tower and I said how it would be great on a Christmas card. After I said that a guy told me not so much and to look behind me. So I did and low and behold there was a man that had climbed up the Eiffel Tower and was threatening to jump. So that was very interesting :) We also rode on the underground metro, which was a first for both Chad and I. We also had an amazing dinner and after that we took a boat ride on the Seine River to see the Eiffel tower all lit up. It was an amazing end to an amazing day. Here are some highlights of our trip.
Chad and I on the boat. It looked so awesome all lit up!
In front of the Notre Dame Cathedral

This used to be an old train station but has been converted to a mueseum since the trains are too big now. Thought you would enjoy Aunt Kimmy :)

Waiting to get on the boat..chad was holding the ticket to get on.

At dinner, the champagne was AMAZING

On our first subway ride ever. Chad was having a bit too much fun :)

Visiting Austria

Well it's hard to believe that a year has come and gone. Chad and I had offically been married one year on June 24th. It seems like yesterday that we got married. A lot has changed in the last year, with us getting married and moving to Germany. Things are going great. We started traveling more, we went to Austria for a few days and while down there visited Italy briefly. To celebrate our one year anniversary we are heading to Paris later this month. So check back and we will get those pics up. I will add some pics to this blog that are a few highlights from our Austrian roadtrip.....

After the long drive Chad was sleepy :)

The Boys enjoying their car ride to Austria

We went to a park where there are deer and we brought the dogs. Well all these austrian kids mobbed Chad because he was holding Goliath. He had no clue what they were asking but my friend's boyfriend was able to translate :)

At the top of a mountain in Villach, Austria. The view was amazing <3
